The GIP provides different ways to get residency status. This depends on the applicant's work history and money situation. These ways include:

Invest SGD 10 million into a new or existing business in Singapore. This amount includes the paid-up capital. To renew the re-entry permit after five years, the business must hire at least 30 people. At least 15 of these hires should be Singapore citizens. If you are running an existing business, the company must also hire 10 new employees.

Process and Timeline for Singapore Residency
Applicants need to send an e-application. This should have their own information and a clear investment plan. They also must include any required documents. After sending the application, they will go to an interview. If they do well, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority will approve them. This approval will last for six months. During this time, the applicant must finish their chosen investment tasks.
After you make the investment, you need to confirm your residency status within one year after receiving the final approval.
Family Inclusion and Other Conditions:
The investor's wife and kids under 21 can apply for residency with the same form. But, boys must finish their national service. Parents and single children older than 21 can instead get a five-year visit pass.

Re-entry Permit and Citizenship:
After getting residency, the person will get a five-year re-entry permit (REP). This permit allows them to travel to and from Singapore while keeping their status. After the first five years, they can renew the REP. Whether they can do this will depend on their business results and how much time they spend in Singapore.
After living in Singapore as residents for two years, investors can ask to be citizens. Singapore has one of the best passports worldwide. It lets you go to 193 places without a visa or with a visa you can get easily. However, Singapore does not allow holding two citizenships. If someone becomes a citizen of Singapore, they must give up their old citizenship.
The Global Investor Program offers rich people from other countries a simple way to live in one of the most exciting cities in the world. They can benefit from the city's safety, job offers, and great quality of life.
